SVDP Rhode Island has partnered with LIHEAP (Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program) and The Wiley Center for an amazing opportunity for our members.
On Thursday, January 29, 2026, we will offer the workshop in-person at 1:00p.m. at SVDP Rhode Island, 33 Webb Street, Cranston 02920. The same presentation will be offered again on Zoom at 7:00.m.. The same information will be offered at both times. Registration is required. Please only register for one workshop. There is limited space for the in-person workshop.

Join us in this session to learn about the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program, often called “heating assistance.” LIHEAP is designed to directly help individuals and families stay warm in the winter months, and to manage their heating and utility costs. In this session you can learn about how the program works, find out about eligibility guidelines, and get all your questions answered about the referral and/or application process!

The George Wiley Center will share information about utility rights, including specific programs and protections, ways to prevent utility termination and things people can do to strengthen medical protections and increase utility affordability for low income families in Rhode Island.
