
WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION:
Join us for a dynamic, hands-on Interactive Disaster Preparedness Workshop focused on flood response and long-term recovery. In this immersive session, participants will walk through a realistic flood disaster scenario that spans multiple counties—testing coordination, communication, and response strategies across jurisdictions. Kevin Peach from SVDP National Disaster Services Corp will be facilitating and providing the training. After lunch there will be presentations/trainings from a few of our Community Partners such as RI VOAD (Volunteer Organizations Active in Disasters), Red Cross, Catholic Charities, and RI EMA. REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED.
LIMITED SPACE – 50 FREE SPOTS. This training is covered by a grant of SVDP Rhode Island. Donations are accepted. Lunch and light coffee-and is included.
