Responding to the need of warmth for those living in the cold winter months of New England, our teens decided they wanted to help. During the first year of the program, St. Luke’s Next Gen partnered with our SVDP St. Brendan’s Conference in Riverside and collected 276 items that enabled them to help 115 people (63 children and 52 seniors) in the East Bay area.

The teens are eager to continue their mission of providing warm winter wishes and hope to be able to provide assistance through our other conferences across the state. Our SVDP Next Gen teens are hosting drives around the community to collect new warm hats, scarves, socks, and gloves. The donations are sorted, paired, and then delivered to families in need in the local community through our 24 conferences who serve our Rhode Island families in need.
