WHO: RI Vincentians. This webinar is a great introduction to disaster services prior to the in person Disaster Service Training being held on November 12 in person. If you are not able to attend the in-person training on November 12th, YOU ARE still invited to attend this webinar. The two trainings are complimentary.
WEBINAR DESCRIPTION: This webinar will focus on walking though the anticipated requests and challenges a Council/Conference will encounter in the preparedness, response and recovery phases of disaster. The webinar will foster a thoughtful discussion on the actions and planning requirements to best position the Council/Conference to meaningfully contribute to the disaster response as a whole. Additionally, the webinar will address the broader disaster ecosystem, identifying key partners, players and funders in all phases of disaster. SVDP Rhode Island is partnering with SVDP National Disaster Service Corp. to provide a webinar and will be hosted by Kevin Peach fro National Disaster Service Corp.
