SVDP Rhode Island’s Annual
Friends of the Poor Walk
EVENT DESCRIPTION
WALK THE WALK
Walkers are encouraged to make a personal donation and collect pledges from supporters. All online pledges go directly to the SVdP Council or Conference chosen by the walker.
Registration forms will also be available at each Walk location. Asking for pledges is a great way to spread awareness of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul’s mission and values!
Come and participate in the Friends of the Poor Walk, a heartfelt community event dedicated to aiding those facing economic struggles. Walk alongside us as we raise awareness and funds to support individuals and families in need. Together, we can make a meaningful difference through solidarity and compassion.
Whether you’re walking for a cause or showing your support, every step counts in our mission to alleviate poverty and provide essential resources to those who need it most. Join hands with fellow participants and be a part of the positive change in our society. Together, we can create a brighter, more inclusive future for all.
VOLUNTEER | BE A SPONSOR | WALK | DONATE
Through the generosity of our sponsors, donors, and walkers, we were able to raise close to $40,000 and four full basket trucks of clothing, food, and toiletries last year to help our Rhode Island friends lacking basic human needs. We hope to top that this year, but we can only do it if YOU register today!
