Some years the topics are practical and very specific. Other years we focus on broader topics.\nTHIS YEAR’S THEME IS “THE LATEST NEWS!”\nMark\, Renee\, and Rita will provide you with up-to-the-minute news on what’s happening with the Society locally\, regionally\, nationally\, and internationally! New programs\, changing personalities\, exciting directions and fresh opportunities for service and spiritual growth. Speakers from the Wiley Center (utilities)\, URI’s SNAP Outreach Project (food)\, RI Housing (housing)\, and RI 211 (general services) will offer practical advice and resources for assisting our friends in need. And we’ve planned a VERY special luncheon surprise!! \nThis year’s Forum will be held on October 21\, 2017 at St. Martha Church\, 2595 Pawtucket Ave.\, in East Providence\, RI. We begin at 8:30 with check-in and coffee. Lunch is served at 11:45 am. We conclude no later than 2:00 pm. \n

Beginning this year\, we will also be awarding pins for years of service to the Society at this event. \nThis year’s topic is Catholic Social Teaching (CST)\, an often neglected element of the Church’s catechesis\, but one that directly speaks to what we do in service to the poor.
